SUMMER TRAINING 2027
For many cadets, participating in summer training is the highlight of their year and the perfect occasion to make friends for life during experiences youth will never forget. Opportunities offered during the summer months include in person courses at Cadet Training Centres (CTC) and virtually with the Technology and Digital Learning Centre (TDLC).
How do I qualify for summer training?
Cadets qualify for summer training by participating in weekly training, optional training, and participating in the various activities throughout the training year, including fundraising (tagging). Absences and excessive excused absences will affect summer camp acceptance.
Advance Training Courses, Exchanges and Scholarships
The selection process is governed by Cadet Administrative and Training Orders (CATO) 13-30 Cadets Excused Absence from LHQ Training, paragraph 12 – Advance Training Courses, Exchanges and Scholarships, which states: “Due to the requirement for cadets to have contributed to the efficiency of a cadet corps/squadron as part of the selection process for these activities, a cadet on an Excused Absence from a cadet corps/squadron for more than 50% of activities in that training year (Sep – Jun) shall not be considered.”
