Queen’s Park Visit

The Hon. Stephen Lecce, Minister of Education, would like to host the 283 Woodbridge Legion Air Cadets at Queen’s Park. The Minister would like to recognize the incredible members of the cadets by having them join him for Question Period viewing, and for a tour of the Legislature.

DATE: MONDAY, MAY 6, 2024 Please note: This takes place during a school day. Cadets must get permission from their parents to miss school.
EVENT TIME: 9:30 AM TO 12:45 PM
BUS TIMINGS:
Departure: 8:00 AM from Vellore Village Community Centre, 1 Villa Royale Avenue, Woodbridge ON L4H 2Z7
Arrival: 3:00 PM at Vellore Village Community Centre, 1 Villa Royale Avenue, Woodbridge ON L4H 2Z7

DRESS: C3 Blue uniform

LUNCH: Lunch will be in the cafeteria at Queen’s Park and will be covered by the SSC. Vegetarian options are available.

This event is open to 25 cadets. Sign-up will be closed once we reach that number. Parental forms, attached, must be signed and returned to CI Marin at brigitte.marin@cadets.gc.ca as soon as possible. There is one for cadets who are under the age of 18 and one for cadets who are 18 and older. Pick the one that is right for you.

The visit will look like this:

9:30 AM arrival
9:30-9:45 AM – check in & coat check
9:45-10 AM – brief walk around / go to the gallery for Question Period
10:15 AM Introductions in the House Begin
10:30-11:30 AM Question Period
11:30 AM meet the Minister and a photo op / potentially the Premier
11:45 AM Tour of legislature
1:00-2:00 PM Lunch
2:00 PM Return to Woodbridge
