HELP US IMPROVE CADET TRAINING – SURVEY NOW LIVE!
- The Cadet Training Review is a national evaluation project aimed at helping us better understand how cadet training is working—what’s going well, where there’s room for improvement, and how we can best prepare cadets for the challenges and opportunities.
- The Cadet Training Review Team is excited to announce that two surveys are now live! We invite cadets and adult staff to share their valuable insights on Cadet Training Sites (Survey 1) and the Corps/Squadron Program (Survey 2).
Survey 1 – Cadet Training Sites (Sail weekend, Silver or Gold expedition weekend, Gliding/Power familiarization day):
- Who:cadets, support cadets, and adult staff who will attend sailing, expedition, or gliding training;
- What:cadets: will complete two portions of the survey: a “pre-activity” portion before they attend the training and a “post-activity” portion after they complete the training;
- support cadets: will complete the “pre-activity” portion before they attend training and “post-activity” portion after they complete the training (if attending more than one day/weekend, they will complete the “post-activity” portion after the final day/weekend);
- adult staff: will complete the “post-activity” portion only. If they attend more than one day/weekend, they will complete the “post-activity” after the final day/weekend)
- When: survey will be live 9 May 2025 – 31 October 2025; and
- How: Click on the link for Survey 1 which will be available on the Cadet Training Review SharePoint Site and
Survey 2 – Corps/Squadron Training:
- Who: cadets and adult staff (corps/squadron, RCSU, CJCR HQ, CISS);
- What: all cadets and adult staff will complete the survey once;
- When: survey will be live 9 May 2025 – 1 August 2025; and
- How: Click on the link for the Survey 2 which is available on the Cadet Training Review SharePoint Site
You must have a working cadet365 email in order to do the survey.
Participation is voluntary, and all responses are anonymous. Each survey includes clear instructions to support cadets and adult staff in completing them. The feedback collected will directly inform recommendations to improve cadet training.
This is a long-term project, so any recommendations made will take time. However, all feedback will help shape a final report. Results will be shared once the evaluation is complete.
