283 Air Cadet Squadron will participate in the City of Vaughan’s Remembrance Day ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. All cadets are welcome to attend.

DATE: Wednesday, November 11, 2026
TIME: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
MEETING LOCATION: Woodbridge Pool & Memorial Arena parking lot, 5020 Hwy 7, Woodbridge, ON L4L 1T1. Cadets will walk together to the Cenotaph on Wallace Street.
HONOUR GUARDS AND FLAG BEARERS: Please arrive directly at the Cenotaph by 10:15 am.

DRESS:

• Cadets with a blue uniform: C1 with medals, parka and black gloves. Wear a toque if it is cold.
• Cadets without a blue uniform: FTUs, parka and black gloves. Wear a toque if it is cold.
• New recruits: Black and white uniform, a warm jacket and black gloves. Wear a warm hat if it is cold.

Uniforms must be clean and ironed, and boots must be shined.

VOLUNTEER HOURS: Cadets may receive volunteer hours for this activity. Please bring your completed volunteer hours form to training on Wednesday, November 11, for the CO to sign.

Parents are welcome to stay and observe the ceremony. Lunch will be available afterward for cadets and guests at the Woodbridge Pool & Memorial Arena.

Cadets may wear their uniform to school on Wednesday, November 11. The blue uniform is preferred. Cadets who do not have a blue uniform may wear their FTUs.
